Minor Surgery

Minor Surgery
We are approved by the Health Authorities to carry out minor surgery procedures, which include removal of warts, lumps, bumps and joint injections. This clinic is run by the doctor and practice nurse using latest techniques. You need to make an appointment to see a doctor or a nurse first for a consultation.

Hormone Replacement (Menopause)
If you feel you may have symptoms related to the menopause or wish to discuss hormone replacement therapy, the practice has a range of resources to help you make decisions with regard to HRT, please make an appointment with the doctor/nurse.

Dietetic Clinic 
We have Dietitians who work in house to provide expert advice with regard to weight reduction, lowering cholesterol levels, diabetic diet advice. To complement this service, further clinics are run by our practice nurses to support and encourage and advise on shedding that extra weight! You need to make an appointment to see a nurse in the first instance.

Teenage Health
A friendly and confidential service for conditions such as acne, obesity, underweight, bullying, stress, family problems, contraception advice, issues to do with safe sex, alcohol, drugs, is available to our young adults. Please book an appointment with our practice nurse.

Travel Clinic and Yellow Fever Immunisation Centre
We provide a full range of holiday/travel immunisation service for patients travelling outside the UK . Most of the vaccines are free to our patients, there are a few exceptions which are not covered by the NHS. Please try to make an appointment at the travel clinic 6-8 weeks before your holiday.

Child Immunisation and a dedicated baby clinic
Child health development checks and immunisation are undertaken by the doctor, nurse and health visitor at the surgery. Ask for child immunisations when making an appointment. There is a dedicated baby clinic at Welbeck Road every Wednesday morning from 9am to 12.30pm, the health visitor is available from 9:30 to 11:30 only. 

Phlebotomy (Blood tests) Clinics
Blood tests are available throughout the week at our Welbeck Road site and on Mondays at Kenmore Clinic. 

Physiotherapy
The doctor would be happy to refer you to the Practice physiotherapist, who visits us twice a week on a Monday and a Friday, should he/she feel a need for you to see one. This service is currently based out of Welbeck Road.

Counselling
GP Direct has fairly immediate access to the local counsellors if a doctor feels that you need to see one. If you are troubled by depression, anxiety, relationships or stress related problems, appointments can be made through the doctor for you to see a community counsellor. Please make an appointment to meet with a doctor if you feel you could benefit from this service.

We also can refer our patients from an ethnic minority to EACH counselling if they are experiencing any difficulties with their relationships directly or indirectly as a result of alcohol dependency/abuse.

Care for those with Cardiac Conditions
Our aim is to work proactively to improve the health of those who are already suffering from heart problems as well as those who are at high risk of getting them. We make a point of seeing all those who have a history of angina, heart attack, angioplasty, bypass surgery, heart failure and heart rhythm problems, to that end we have special registers for patients with Coronary Heart Disease, Heart Failure and Atrial Fibrillation so as to better monitor their management. We are happy to clarify any issues, perform any check ups, discuss your medication and how to further lower your future risk. Please make an appointment to meet with anyone of our nurses to discuss these matters. Additionally we also carryout ECG investigations in-house at Welbeck Road , this is requested by the doctors.

Asthma Monitoring
If you have asthma or use inhaled medications, we would expect you to have regular reviews at one of our regular clinics with any of our highly experienced Nurse Practitioners and doctors assistant . Regular reviews are essential to ensure that you understand how to manage your condition and assess the appropriateness of your medication.

Diabetic Monitoring

Also run our by Nurse Practitioners and doctors assistant these clinics are designed so that we can educate our diabetic patients to manage their conditions in the best way possible whilst monitoring their condition and medication.
